Dancer Marianne
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Completed: June 2022
Why I chose this costume:
I liked the dancer outfits right off the bat, and when my friend mentioned bringing back her old dancer Hilda costume I just knew I had to do this! I was already doing Timeskip Marianne for a different pair that weekend, so I worked on both at the same time.
How I made this costume:
I used a pattern from Indigo Patterns for this to simplify things.
I went with satin and brocade fabrics to keep things cheap, easy, and still look nice! For the blues I chose subtle brocades to compliment but not overdo it.

The entire cosplay is lined, with tons of closures for stability with the strange construction. I used foam wrapping for the gold edges to both add structure and texture. 3D print pieces were designed by Dangerous Ladies and printed and painted by me.

The wig styling was a whole project in itself. I spent over 6 hours styling the wig! I used Arda Wigs Nina in Slate Blue and followed Arda's YouTube tutorial. She has lasted me over 6 months of continuous use!
Final Thoughts:
As Timeskip was my priority to finish, I actually never 100% completed Dancer. But, she was complete enough for it not to be noticeable so I went with it! I had so much fun taking photos and I'm very glad I did it.

Future advice, seal spray paint! My entire neck ended up silver from the bangles which I didn't seal paint on...
