Timeskip Hilda
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Completed: April 2022

Best in Show at Anime Park 2022
Why I chose this costume:
Despite Marianne ending up being my favorite, I liked Hilda most first! I loved her color scheme and the design was just so adorable.
How I made this costume:
I used a pattern from Indigo Patterns for the costume. I previously used her patterns for a few projects so I felt good about it! Hilda was my first actually finished cosplay, with a few WIPs on the side.

I was able to source all my fabrics from a small section at Joann, which at the time I was excited about, but I wish I branched out a bit more on certain parts. The pink velvet I chose was very difficult as it was really cheap, saggy and fraying.

The bodice, overskirt, sleeves and collar are fully lined. I also made a matching mask with a wire nosepiece.

3D print pieces were designed by Dangerous Ladies and printed and painted by me! Some I also covered in black pleather instead of painting, including the headband and belt.
Final Thoughts:
I entered my first cosplay competition with this, at Anime Park! I was so proud when I got best in show. It was a very small competition but it was still so much fun.
I ended up not really loving how the cosplay flattered me, so I got to lend it out to a few friends after I made Marianne, which I'm so glad it got it's use regardless.
